Assignment 26- Ian Schaeffer

I generally enjoyed English this year. I wouldn't lie and say we were swamped with work or challenged at home, but we learned what to do for the AP test, and I would say most everyone took it and likely passed. To improve, I would say be more forceful in ensuring that everyone pay attention/ focus during the practice AP multiple choice. I noticed that some people around me chose not to do them, and while it is a personal choice, I think an AP class expects that they fully participate. I think the essay reading periods should be accelerated. Whether or not that is to save time for more essays or other work is not important or my place to say, but I felt that those classes got monotonous. I liked the Socratic Seminars, so maybe devote more time to those. I feel like those classes force everyone to be mentally present and also reflect what a college class will be like (at least more accurately). Also, starting ACT prep two weeks earlier might help students.
