Assignment 26- Tom Polites

I have seen my abilities as a writer greatly increase this year, and the activities that you had our class do played a great role in that. Especially when practicing analysis, I saw myself learn how to think clearly of examples to employ in my writing and how to craft my ideas skillfully and efficiently. I would have enjoyed to go over some more strategies about taking the AP multiple choice practice test as I feel there are some questions I could have gotten correct on the actual test had we spent more time on it. At the beginning of the year when we wrote our first essays, I appreciated you telling us that the grading curve would get steeper for the second semester. While this turned out to be a lie, it got me to focus intensely as to avoid bombing an essay. I also believe that the book Writing with Style helped me as a writer as well. Instead of videos, I maybe would have liked to practice more with the writing strategies explored in the book, but either way it was a great help to me. This year was the biggest increase in my writing skill that I have experienced and I thank you for that.
