As far as preparation for the multiple-choice test I think
we should have gone beyond just doing practice tests. I would recommend breaking
down the different sections or going over certain skills required (for example
how you read a footnote as it was on the AP test at least 3 times.) Also, going
over the practice tests more in depthly would have been lengthy, but personally
I think it would be helpful to understand the thought process when narrowing
down the answer.
For the free response
I think peer reviewing the essays was effective, but got very boring and
redundant. It was helpful to read the benchmarks before grading and get a sense
of how to grade or what the criteria was. Reading the essays out loud was scary
and nerve racking for me, but I think it is good to hear your writing out loud
and critiqued by peers and teacher. My
suggestion would be to go more in depth on the multiple-choice in understanding
the format and breakdown and mix up the grading of essays.
