Assignment 10 - Kenna Miller

An avid baker, a hard worker, a bright smile, a coffee cup. You guessed it: it's Kalin Combs.

Kalin graced me with the gift of friendship when Kayla and I sat behind her and Grace in English class last year. Together, the four of us conquered each seemingly vague project Behler tacked onto on backs, from complex peer review schemes to reenacting Gatsby quite dramatically. There were some days where Kalin was absent, but there were some days where she strolled in with a Starbucks cup in her hand; some days she radiated like a sun, other days gave only frizzy hair. :)

This year, I'm delighted to be her bike neighbor, along with Emily, Kyle, Khalid, and Daniel. Through the days of scientific research and space exploration, I learned that she's an excellent calligrapher; if I ever have a public wedding, I'm definitely giving her a ring (no pun intended). She respects food in the same fashion as Josh, even going to the "extremes" of devouring a loaf in class right in front of the "no food or drink" sign. Friendly, funny, and chill all in one package.

In five years, I'm hoping for her to continue on or graduate with college and find a job doing what she loves but also pays well (if you're good at something, never do it for free).  Kalin suits the color purple the best, since she's a loyal friend: she'll always come back to you in the end :')

(hope this wasn't too passionate lol)
