Assignment 9 - Khalid Browne

There are very few times war is needed. In some rare cases, war or rebellions help improve the world. For example, if it wasn't for the American revolution, America would probably still be under British rule. War is helpful to rebel against issues that won’t be changed or differed. I do understand that a group of people need to stand up for what they believe then and sometimes war is good way to demonstrate that. But personally, I don't believe in war even though sometimes, it's helped and improved a nation or a country it has also weakened it. There is something called compromise and that is a peacefully negotiation between two countries. This will always be a better choice for settling an argument. Trying to make nuclear turrets, become a superior country or to destroy a foreign country’s government is a complete waste of time. This time could be used to improve the world as whole, if the world learned to settle petty difference it would be a very advanced and strong power as a whole. In some instances, for example the american revolution, was a reasonable fight for independence because of britain's ignorance. But wars like the Civil War, or World war could be avoided with peaceful negotiations, but states or countries started to get selfishness, greed, and prides is what started those stupid wars. Peaceful negotiations will always be more effective, treaties of some sort will always be a better than war, because there will be benefits coming from both sides. Even though there might be a “winner” or a “loser” of a war, both sides will be weaken, in terms of population, economy, and damage. So is there really a winner?
