Assignment 9- Kalin Combs

Assignment 2:
As appealing as world peace sounds, it seems that war is inevitable. Countries will fight over who's the best, and extremists will kill for their religion. I'm a big believer in fighting for what you believe in, but not at the expense of others. So as much as I wish the indifferences between countries and religions and cultures could be resolved with just a friendly debate and a handshake, I know that will never happen. Obviously though, I don't believe countries should just attack others for no reason, but I think it's okay to fight for your country when you feel threatened or attacked. If North Korea attacked the United States tomorrow, I would fully support the government's decision to kick some Korean ass. I don't see any alternatives to war; it's not like countries are toddlers and we can just force them to apologize and play nice. And religion is so powerful, it has such an impact on the world. People will do crazy things for their religion--it's no use reasoning with them, that would be like arguing with a higher power.
