Assignment 14 - Stephanie Bailey

Thanksgiving is a chaotic holiday for so many families but my family seems to be pretty relaxed. No family from other states come in to town because of how close it is to Christmas when they will be here anyways. I go over to my dad's house on Thanksgiving Day and we go to Georgetown to be with his side of the family. My grandparents, aunt, uncle, and two cousins all gather together and relax until the food is all together. We then eat and hang out with each other until the sun becomes long gone. We then make the journey back to Lexington to sleep before my next huge meal. The next day or maybe that Saturday I will return to my mother’s house and we will make the trek around the corner to my grandparents’ house. There we will have pizza for lunch and then another Thanksgiving meal for dinner so that I can have Thanksgiving dinner with both families. I love this holiday because I get to see all of my family that lives here in Kentucky and it calls for a break in school; which is well deserved.
