Assignment 13- Tom Polites

The Kentucky Basketball program is clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the college teams in the country. That is why whenever Kentucky plays an opponent, it is a nationally televised game with lots of excitement around it. In these circumstances, some random scrub on the other team decides to play out of his mind and hit 7 threes. This is unfair to the Cats as they are clearly better than the other team aside from one over achieving bench player shooting lights out from downtown. That is why I am proposing to ban the three point shot for all of Kentucky's opponents. The only hope that they have of keeping the game close against Wildcats is burying a ridiculous amount of contested threes. This shot allows an inferior team to keep it close against a dominating team like the Cats. This rule would further emphasize the deserved dominance of Kentucky basketball and keep lesser teams from getting lucky in big time games.
